History

Dan and Judy Long had a vision back in 1999 to build an electrical company that would serve the needs of East Tennesseans. Dan had noticed during his previous working years that the quality of customer service had begun to suffer. He was determined to rewind time back to the good old days when you asked someone, “How are you?” and actually meant it! A handshake, a smile, great conversations; all the good things about meeting and talking to people that seem to be lost in today’s world.

Fast forward to 2022: Dan and Judy have built lifelong relationships with business partners like LCUB and KUB, as well as builders like Ball Homes, Goodall Homes, Smithbilt Homes, Saddlebrook Properties, and D.R. Horton, just to name a few.

They have also developed great relationships with electrical inspectors, electrical supply companies like Stokes Lighting & Electric, City Electric Supply, and most importantly, the thousands of customers Long Electric has served of over the years!
